Welcome to Hyperborea, a Duchy of Shireroth on the Internet. Hyperborea is a part of the world of micronationalism, countries that have varying degrees of legitimacy and existence. In our case, and in that of our parent country, Shireroth, this degree can be very low indeed, but we nevertheless enjoy the challenge of running a government and creating a country, and so are able to continue despite a lack of political power or world recognition. The Imperial Republic of Shireroth consists of about twenty-five people from all over the world ruled by Kaiser Erik Metzler (royal name: Mors III). The Duchy of Hyperborea is a self-governing subdivision of Shireroth with a long history, its own language, and a tradition of respect for peace and friendship.
