Many Hyperboreans choose to have a Hyperborean name in addition to their common name. A Hyperborean name usually has two parts - a first name traditionally chosen by the parents, and a second name chosen by the name-holder themselves upon becoming an adult. Each name is a Hyperborean word, often a reference to an animal, a gemstone, or a force of nature. When the second name is chosen, the first name takes on its symbolic adjective form, becoming a modifier of the second name. Thus, the name Kalir alone means "polar bear", but when used as a modifier for a second name, it means "noble".
The following people have Hyperborean names:

Scott Siskind: Kalir Sethan, "noble mirror"
Philip Locke: Ragum Volak, "unyielding storm"
Eoin Dornan: Nirus Tinenetuwar, "fierce fire-axe"
Jadie Doran: Shanir Mabar, "precious amber"
Harvey Steffke: Belik Tinen, "blue fire"
Erik Metzler: Manek Leshem, "dread doom"
If you want a Hyperborean name, ask about it in the forum and we'll see what we can do.
